Israel has decided to halt its bombing of Iran for two weeks following a temporary ceasefire announced by Donald Trump. This announcement was made just before his 1am UK time deadline on Wednesday for Tehran to allow ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. In response, Iran has agreed to provide “safe passage” in the strait during this ceasefire period. Earlier on Tuesday, Sky News reporters noted that they could hear alarms and loud explosions in Israel after the IDF reported detecting missiles fired from Iran.
