Kuwait says Iranian drones strike oil sector complex, power, government sites

A fire erupted at the Shuwaikh oil sector complex in Kuwait after a drone attack, according to the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation. This complex includes the oil ministry and the headquarters of KPC. Early on Sunday, the Kuwaiti state news agency reported that an Iranian drone targeted an office complex for government ministries, leading to major material damage, although no injuries were reported. Additionally, two power generation units were taken offline due to attacks on two power and water desalination plants by Iranian drones, which caused extensive damage, as stated by Kuwait’s electricity and water ministry. There were no reports of injuries in any of these incidents, according to local media. These attacks occur as the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran enters its sixth week, with Tehran retaliating against Israel and Gulf Arab nations that host U.S. military bases. Iran has not issued any official response.
