The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has declared a 12-hour water interruption in the Padukka area and nearby locations. This cut will start at 8:00 p.m. today, May 5, and last until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, May 6. The Board stated that the water production at the Labugama and Kalatuwawa Water Treatment Plants is limited because the levels in the reservoirs are falling quickly. Therefore, the water supply for the areas served by these plants will be affected, with the interruption set to occur overnight until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow.
