CAA assures continuous Laugfs gas supply during festive period

The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has announced that there will be a steady supply of Laugfs gas for consumers during the festive season, which starts today, April 8. An official from the CAA said that, following the Minister of Trade's direction, Laugfs Gas Company has been instructed to meet all legal requirements. On April 6, Laugfs Gas Company reported that a shipment of 7,000 metric tons of gas had reached Hambantota Port. As a result, the company confirmed that the distribution of this gas to consumers will begin today. Additionally, Asela Bandara, the Director of the Consumer Affairs Authority, mentioned that special raids and inspections will be conducted during the festive period to oversee market activities and enforce legal actions against traders who violate regulations.
