Mojtaba Khamenei being treated for severe condition in Qom, unable to govern Iran — report
Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, is currently unconscious and receiving treatment for a serious medical condition in the city of Qom. He is unable to fulfill his duties in governing the country, as reported by The Times based on an intelligence assessment. A diplomatic memo, which includes information from US-Israeli intelligence and has been shared with their Gulf partners, states, “Mojtaba Khamenei is in a severe state in Qom and cannot participate in any decision-making for the regime.” This report marks the first public acknowledgment of Khamenei's location since the war began, during which he was thought to be injured in the initial attacks on February 28. The document also discusses arrangements for the burial of his father, former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in Qom after he was killed in the early strikes.
