Inflation in Colombo fell to 1.6% in February 2026, down from 2.3% in January 2026, according to the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI). The Department of Census and Statistics (DCS) shared this new information. Year-on-year inflation for the Food Group dropped significantly to 0.2% in February 2026, a decrease from 3.3% in January 2026. On the other hand, the year-on-year inflation for the Non-Food Group rose to 2.3% in February 2026, up from 1.8% in January 2026.
