Harin warns of international action over alleged move to jail ex-President Ranil Wickremesinghe

Former Minister Harin Fernando has announced plans to alert the international community about what he calls an unfair effort by the current government to imprison former President Ranil Wickremesinghe. During a media briefing today (23), Fernando mentioned that a nationwide campaign would be started to inform the public about this situation. His comments came after the Attorney General informed the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court that the investigation into Wickremesinghe’s trip to London would be completed within a month, with legal action anticipated in March. Additionally, Fernando claimed that the government is “struggling” and emphasized that this issue will not be overlooked.
