Exposition of sacred Devnimori relics continues for fourth day
The display of the sacred Devnimori relics of Lord Buddha, brought from India, is ongoing for the fourth day at the Gangaramaya Temple in Hunupitiya, Colombo, today (08). This exhibition started on February 5, 2026. The Devnimori relics, found in the 1960s at the historic site in Gujarat, India, have never been taken outside India before. Many devotees have come to the Gangaramaya Temple to see and honor the relics. Yesterday (07), Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, former President Maithripala Sirisena, and other ministers were present to pay their respects. Devotees can continue to honor the relics without interruption for 24 hours, until 7:00 a.m. on February 11, 2026. Copyright ©2026 Ada Derana. All rights reserved.
