Sri Lanka and Vietnam sign five MoUs during state visit of President To Lam
During an official ceremony to welcome Vietnam's President To Lam, who is visiting Sri Lanka for two days, five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between the two nations. The agreements covered various areas, including: • A partnership between the National Police Academy of Sri Lanka and the People’s Police Academy of Vietnam to work together on police training and research. • A MoU between Sri Lanka's Ministry of Science and Technology and Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology to improve cooperation in the fields of science and technology. • An agreement involving Sri Lanka's Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs and Vietnam's Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs to collaborate on religious development, student welfare, and the promotion and preservation of religious traditions. • A MoU between Sri Lanka's Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs and Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to enhance cultural cooperation. • An agreement between Sri Lanka's Ministry of Health and Mass Media and Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to work together in the information and communication sectors. After the agreements were signed, Vietnam also offered a fertilizer grant to Sri Lanka as a sign of cooperation and support between the two countries.
