Sri Lanka, Pakistan hold talks to strengthen defence cooperation, training and regional security

The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, Major General Nayyar Naseer, HI (M), (Retd), visited Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) at the Ministry of Defence. The Defence Secretary greeted the High Commissioner and wished him well as he begins his diplomatic role in Sri Lanka. They talked about ways to further enhance the long-standing relationship between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, focusing on defence cooperation, training, and regional security, as stated by the Ministry of Defence. Both sides shared their views on topics of common interest and confirmed their dedication to improving collaboration between the two countries. The meeting also included the Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, Ms. Zunaira Latif, along with the Defence Attaché of Pakistan to Sri Lanka.
