Sinopec increases price of Super Diesel

Sinopec Energy Lanka (Private) Limited has announced a rise in the retail price of Super Diesel. Starting from midnight today (6), the price will increase by Rs. 28, bringing it to Rs. 600 per litre. In their announcement, Sinopec stated that the retail prices for Petrol Octane 92 and Lanka Auto Diesel (LAD) will follow the Government-approved rates. However, for premium fuels like Petrol Octane 95 and Lanka Super Diesel (LSD), prices will reflect current international market rates, as allowed by the Government. Sinopec confirmed that these new prices will be in effect until further notice, pending any changes in line with Government approvals and regulations. The adjusted prices include VAT.
