Northern Railway Line to fully resume operations from Apr. 9

The Department of Railways has finished repairs on the Northern Railway Line, which Cyclone Ditwah damaged last year. Train services will restart from Colombo Fort to Kankesanthurai on April 9, according to the Railway Department. They also announced that passengers can now reserve seats for intercity express trains. These trains run daily from Mount Lavinia to Kankesanthurai at 5:15 a.m. and return from Kankesanthurai to Mount Lavinia at 1:50 p.m.
