GMOA decides to continue its ongoing token strike

The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has decided to keep its ongoing token strike across Sri Lanka until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow (05). This strike began due to several demands, including concerns over the alleged politicization of doctors' transfers. Although it was initially set to conclude tomorrow morning, the association has now stated it will hold a special meeting to determine if the strike will continue beyond that time. Dr. Prabath Sugathadasa, the GMOA Secretary, mentioned that the Executive Committee will gather tomorrow to discuss the future steps.
