Catholic churches in Dubai cancel masses, citing government directives

Catholic churches in Dubai have announced the cancellation of masses for the upcoming Easter weekend due to government orders. The St Frances of Assissi Church stated, “Following the directives of the Government Regulatory Authorities, all Masses at our Church are cancelled until further notice.” The church urged its parishioners to avoid visiting for “safety and community well-being.” Similarly, St Mary’s Catholic Church has confirmed that it will cancel its services based on government guidance and will offer its Friday service through live streaming instead.
