Bangladeshi expatriate killed by debris from intercepted drone in UAE
A Bangladeshi worker lost his life due to debris that fell after a drone was intercepted in Fujairah, UAE, according to the Khaleej Times, a daily based in Dubai. The drone was shot down by the UAE's air defense system on Wednesday, causing pieces to land on a nearby farm. Reports indicate that a total of 12 individuals have died in the UAE as a result of Iranian retaliation following strikes by the US and Israel on the country in late February. The casualties include two members of the Emirates armed forces, a Moroccan civilian who worked with the military, and expatriates from various countries, including Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Palestine, and India. On Tuesday, UAE officials reported that since the war began, 188 people have sustained injuries. On that same day, air defense forces responded to 12 missiles and 36 drones.
