Two Israeli soldiers killed in Lebanon in Israel s first military deaths of war

Two Israeli soldiers lost their lives in southern Lebanon early on Sunday morning, as reported by the Israeli military. The soldiers were close to a D-9 bulldozer when Hezbollah launched an anti-tank missile at their location, according to an Israeli source speaking to CNN. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) identified one deceased soldier as MSgt. Maher Khatar, who was 38 years old. The IDF has not released the name of the second soldier who was killed. Additionally, at least 14 Israeli soldiers have sustained injuries during the clashes along the Israel-Lebanon border.
