Navy seizes fishing trawler with suspected narcotics haul in southern seas; 6 arrested

The Sri Lanka Navy carried out a special search operation in the deep seas off the southern coast and stopped a local multi-day fishing trawler. This boat was found to be carrying sacks that are believed to contain narcotics, and there were six suspects on board. The Navy is bringing the fishing trawler, the suspected drugs, and the suspects back to shore for more investigation and legal action.
