Landslide early warnings issued to areas in two districts
The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has released early warnings about possible landslides in several areas across two districts in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. The warning, announced at 6:00 a.m. today (13), will be in effect for the next 24 hours. The areas receiving Level 2 (Amber) landslide warnings, which urge residents to be careful and alert, include the Walapane and Nildandahinna Divisional Secretariat Divisions in the Nuwara Eliya District and nearby regions. Additionally, the Kandy District's Pathahewaheta Divisional Secretariat Division and surrounding areas have been given Level 1 (Yellow) warnings, advising residents to stay watchful.
