Six police officers arrested for allegedly assaulting Catholic priest further remanded

Six police officers, accused of attacking a Catholic priest in Gampaha, have been ordered to remain in custody until January 29, 2026. The officers appeared in front of the Gampaha Magistrate’s Court today, on the 26th. The Magistrate has also instructed that an identification parade take place on January 29, 2026.
