NBRO warns landslide risk persists in several areas despite lifting of red alerts

The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued a warning that the risk of landslides remains in several areas, even though the red alerts have been removed. Hasali Semasinghe, a Senior Scientist at the NBRO, explained that the alerts were lifted due to decreased rainfall. However, she stressed that people should not go back to high-risk areas until the proper authorities check the locations and confirm they are safe.
