Showers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa Northern and North-western provinces and in Anuradhapura, Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts

Some areas in these regions may experience fairly heavy rainfall, exceeding 50 mm. Additionally, after 2:00 p.m., there may be showers or thundershowers in parts of the Uva province and the districts of Ampara and Batticaloa. Winds ranging from 30 to 40 km/h could occur at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, as well as in the Northern, North-central, North-western, and Southern provinces. The public is advised to take necessary precautions to prevent damage from temporary strong winds and lightning that may happen during thundershowers.
