Over 5,000 military personnel promoted to coincide with 17th anniversary of victory over terrorism

On the occasion of the 17th National War Heroes’ Commemoration Day on May 19, the Defence Ministry announced that 5,289 military personnel from the Tri Forces have been promoted to higher ranks. This recognition is for their committed service to the nation. Each year, the National War Heroes’ Commemoration Day is observed to honor the great sacrifices and outstanding service of the Tri Forces members who played a crucial role in bringing peace and protecting the country's sovereignty. The promotions were granted based on the recommendations from the Service Commanders and followed the standard procedures of the Tri Forces.
