The Litro Gas Company will keep the prices of domestic Litro LP gas the same for May, according to Channa Gunawardana, the Chairman of Litro Gas Lanka Limited. He explained that, even though international gas prices are going up and the exchange rates are difficult, the company chose not to change the prices to help consumers. The prices set for April 2026 will stay the same for May 2026. In the Colombo District, a 12.5 kg domestic gas cylinder will still cost Rs. 4,765, a 5 kg cylinder will remain at Rs. 1,910, and a 2.3 kg cylinder will continue to be priced at Rs. 890.
