French vessel attacked in Strait of Hormuz, several crew members wounded
A French shipping company announced that several crew members were hurt and the CMA San Antonio cargo ship suffered damage after being hit in the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday. The ship was passing through the strait when it is believed to have been hit by a projectile. In a statement released on Wednesday, the company confirmed that the injured crew members had been evacuated and were receiving medical care. The company, CMA CGM, stated that it is closely watching the situation and is fully engaged with the crew. The UKMTO, the maritime agency in charge of the area, reported that a cargo ship was hit by an "unknown projectile" on Tuesday but did not specify which vessel it was.
