Sri Lanka Police have introduced a special security plan to keep people safe during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebrations. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) F. U. Wootler, the Police Media Spokesperson, announced that this security plan will be active at all 608 police stations across the country. He also mentioned that over 10,000 police officers will be assigned to manage traffic and ensure safety.
