Iran has warned that it may target American technology companies if more of its leaders are killed, according to the semi-official news agency Fars. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated, “Since the main factor in planning and tracking assassination targets is American ICT and AI companies, we will now consider the main institutions involved in these terrorist activities as our legitimate targets.” The IRGC specifically named 17 firms, including Apple, Microsoft, Google, Meta, IBM, HP, Intel, Tesla, Boeing, and JP Morgan, as potential targets. They urged employees of these American tech firms in the area to "immediately distance themselves from their workplaces" and advised nearby residents to find safe locations. The IRGC added, “Companies that are involved in terrorist operations will face consequences for each assassination.” They also announced that starting at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1 (Tehran time), these companies should prepare for possible destruction of their facilities in retaliation for any killings in Iran.
