According to the Department of Examinations, 62.64 percent of those who took the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination have qualified for university admission. The exam results were posted online yesterday, on the 31st. Students can check their results by entering their index number on the official Department of Examinations websites (www.doenets.lk and www.results.exams.gov.lk). A total of 221,413 students from schools and 60,397 private candidates participated in the 2025 Advanced Level exam. The Department reported that 146,405 school candidates and 30,122 private candidates met the requirements for admission to state universities. This means that a total of 176,527 candidates qualified for university admission, which makes up 62.64 percent of all applicants. Additionally, the Department noted that the results for 111 candidates have been put on hold for various reasons.
