Police open fire at vehicle suspected of transporting drugs in Negombo

Police officers from the Narcotics Bureau shot at a vehicle in Negombo that they believed was carrying drugs. This incident took place this afternoon (30) when the vehicle did not stop after being signaled for a check and kept driving. The vehicle was hit during the shooting, and one officer from the Narcotics Bureau was injured. Later, police took two people into custody from the vehicle, and they found more than 500 grams of ice in their possession.
