Iran Defence Council issues Strait of Hormuz order for non-hostile countries

Iran's Defence Council, a top security group, has announced that non-hostile countries must coordinate with Iran to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The Council's statement, shared by Iranian media, warns that any attack by enemies on Iranian shores or islands will result in the mining of all access routes in the Gulf, referred to as Persian by them. This includes the deployment of various naval mines, such as those that can drift from the shore. If such an attack occurs, the entire Persian Gulf will effectively be blocked, with the aggressor held accountable, the statement warns.
