Warm weather advisory issued for several provinces for tomorrow
A warm weather warning has been announced for people living in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Monaragala, Mannar, Vavuniya, and Anuradhapura districts. Tomorrow, on the 18th, the heat index, which measures how hot it feels to the human body, may reach the ‘Caution Level’ in some areas within these regions. The Heat Index Forecast, determined by the maximum temperature and relative humidity, shows how the temperature feels on your skin, according to the Meteorological Department. They have indicated that staying in the sun for a long time and being active outside can cause tiredness, and continuing these activities might lead to heat cramps. As a result, residents are advised to drink plenty of water and reduce intense outdoor activities.
