Iran s FM thanks Sri Lanka for helping rescue sailors after US strike
Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, recently spoke on the phone with officials from Sri Lanka and India. He criticized the United States for attacking the Iranian warship, Dena, in international waters, labeling it a breach of international law. Araqchi stated that Iran would seek legal accountability for this act. He expressed gratitude to Sri Lanka for its efforts in rescuing the crew of the Dena and highlighted the need to ensure the safety of Iranian ships and personnel. The IRIS Dena was sunk by the U.S. on Wednesday, located 19 nautical miles from Galle, a southern port city in Sri Lanka.
