SC dismisses petitions against emergency declaration after Cyclone Ditwah
The Supreme Court has rejected two petitions that challenged the State of Public Emergency declared by the President after Cyclone Ditwah. The petitions argued that the emergency declaration violated Fundamental Rights. The ruling was made by a three-judge panel led by Chief Justice Preethi Padman Surasena, according to a report from Ada Derana.
