The Department of Meteorology has announced that showers or thundershowers are expected in some areas of the Southern Province, as well as in the Ratnapura, Monaragala, and Kalutara districts today, October 24. The rest of the island will mainly experience clear weather. Early tomorrow morning, misty conditions are anticipated in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western, and North Western provinces, along with the Anuradhapura, Galle, Matara, Monaragala, Mannar, and Vavuniya districts. The public is advised to take necessary precautions to reduce the risk of damage from temporary strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
