Yesterday, on the 18th, police conducted daily search operations throughout Sri Lanka, inspecting a total of 29,608 people. According to the police statement, these efforts led to the arrest of 549 people. During these operations, officers identified 26 individuals connected to criminal activities. They also apprehended 519 people who had outstanding warrants. Among those arrested, 309 drivers were caught for driving while intoxicated, and another 44 were taken in for reckless driving. Additionally, the police stated that legal action was taken against 4,392 individuals for various traffic-related offenses.
