Two suspects arrested with Ice and heroin in Wellampitiya and Mattakkuliya

Police have arrested a suspect in the Kotuwila area of Wellampitiya for having 50 grams and 960 milligrams of Crystal Methamphetamine, also known as ‘Ice.’ This action was taken after officers from the Special Task Force (STF) Camp Jayewardenepura received a tip-off. The suspect is a 35-year-old man who lives in Wellampitiya. The Wellampitiya Police are continuing to investigate the case. In a separate incident, another suspect was detained in the Samithpura area of Mattakkuliya for possessing 147 grams and 900 milligrams of heroin. This arrest occurred during a raid prompted by a tip-off to the Colombo North Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau. The second suspect is a 42-year-old man from Samithpura. The Colombo North Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau is also looking into this case further.
