A woman was killed and three others were hurt after a wild elephant charged into Valaichchenai town in Batticaloa this morning. Two wild elephants came into the town and nearby villages at about 6:00 a.m. today (13). During this event, a 68-year-old woman, who was selling string hoppers, was attacked and lost her life to one of the elephants, according to a report from Ada Derana.
