A shooting attempt that did not succeed was reported against a candidate from the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) during the Kalutara Municipal Council elections, according to the police. This incident took place last night (07) and targeted Bandula Prasanna, the SJB candidate. Authorities mentioned that Prasanna had been the target of a similar attack nine months ago, which also did not succeed. During the investigation at the site of last night's shooting, police found a live round of ammunition and a mobile phone on the ground.
