Police fired shots at a lorry in Tharmapuram, Kilinochchi after the driver ignored their commands. Early today (01), police set up a roadblock to stop and check a speeding lorry. When the driver refused to stop, officers shot at the vehicle's wheels. After the shooting, the driver escaped. Authorities said the lorry was carrying sand without the proper permit. The Tharmapuram Police are continuing their investigation to apprehend the driver.
