Gold prices in Sri Lanka drop by Rs. 20,000
Gold prices in Sri Lanka have fallen by about Rs. 20,000 due to a slight drop in global gold prices. This morning, on the 30th, the price of a 22-carat gold sovereign in the Colombo Pettah gold market was Rs. 368,000, down from Rs. 386,400 the day before, on the 29th. Additionally, the cost of a 24-carat gold sovereign, which was Rs. 420,000 yesterday, has decreased to Rs. 400,000 as of today, the 30th.
