All three generators of Norochcholai Power plant reconnected to national grid
All three generators at the Norochcholai Lakvijaya Power Plant in Sri Lanka have been reconnected to the national power grid after being temporarily shut down for maintenance. A representative from the Lakvijaya Power Plant confirmed that the generators are now back in normal operation. This reconnection adds 900 megawatts of electricity capacity to the national system. One generator was taken offline for routine maintenance on November 3, while another stopped working on December 20 due to an unexpected technical issue. The Ceylon Electricity Board reported that both generators are now functional again following the necessary repairs.
