A man was arrested in Gandara, Dondra, for having 115 grams and 200 milligrams of heroin, 23 grams and 700 milligrams of crystal methamphetamine, known as 'Ice,' and about Rs. 500,000 in cash believed to be from drug trafficking, according to police reports. The arrest happened yesterday afternoon (31) after officers from the Police Narcotics Bureau received a tip-off. The 38-year-old suspect lives in Dondra. Investigations show that he is a close associate of a drug trafficker living abroad and was handling money from the trafficker's drug activities. He is set to appear in Matara Magistrate’s Court today (01). The Police Narcotics Bureau continues to investigate the case.
