The death toll from the cable car accident at the Na Uyana Monastery has risen to eight, after another monk who was receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident. Meanwhile, another five Buddhist monks are still receiving treatment at the Kurunegala Hospital.
