A warm weather alert has been issued for people living in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Eastern, North-Western, Northern, and North-Central provinces, as well as in the Monaragala District of Sri Lanka. Tomorrow, on the 4th, the heat index, which measures how hot it feels to the body, may reach the ‘Caution Level’ in some areas of these provinces and the Monaragala District. The Heat Index Forecast is determined by looking at humidity levels and maximum temperatures, which shows what people actually feel, according to the Meteorological Department. They warned that being outside in the sun for a long time can cause tiredness, and continuing to be active may result in heat cramps. Therefore, residents are advised to drink plenty of water and to avoid intense outdoor activities.
