Iranian missile hits largest US military base in Middle East, Qatar says
Qatar has reported that an Iranian missile hit Al Udeid Air Base, which is the largest US military base in the Middle East. Fortunately, there were no injuries or deaths from the attack. The Qatari Defense Ministry announced that it successfully intercepted another missile that had been launched from Iran towards Qatar. In addition, Qatari authorities have detained 10 individuals suspected of having connections to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The state news agency QNA indicated that two groups were arrested for allegedly operating on behalf of the IRGC within Qatar. Seven of the suspects were reportedly involved in spying on Qatar’s military sites, while the remaining three were said to be planning acts of sabotage and had received training to use drones. QNA also mentioned that they found locations and coordinates of important facilities, communication devices, and technological equipment in the suspects' possession.
