Sri Lanka urges global peace, calls on int l organisations to fulfill responsibilities – Minister
Minister Nalinda Jayatissa emphasized that every country should help create global peace by addressing the ongoing military conflicts in the Middle East. During the current affairs show 360° on TV Derana last night (02), he explained Sri Lanka’s position on the situation in the region. He stressed that war is unacceptable, no matter who is involved. The Minister pointed out that wars lead to massive loss of life and damage, and they also threaten the world economy. He said, “Military conflicts should never be accepted. As a small nation, we urge all sides to stop fighting and end these cruel attacks. We ask all countries to help build global peace.” He also mentioned that they expect international organizations, which are responsible for maintaining global peace, to carry out their important duties during this critical time. He concluded by stating that Sri Lanka, despite being small, is ready to provide any support needed to achieve this goal.
