The Israeli Air Force has launched a new series of attacks on Tehran, the capital of Iran, as reported by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). In a statement, the IDF noted, “This is the first time since Operation ‘Roaring Lion’ began that we are targeting sites linked to the Iranian terror regime in the heart of Tehran.” This announcement came a day after joint strikes with the US resulted in the death of Iran’s supreme leader. According to reports from Tehran, explosions were heard in various parts of the city on Sunday morning. Social media posts showed large clouds of thick smoke rising from several locations in Tehran.
