The Department of Meteorology has announced that showers or thundershowers are expected in some areas of the Southern province, as well as in the Ratnapura and Monaragala districts, after 2:00 p.m. today, the 25th. Most other parts of Sri Lanka will experience mainly clear weather. In the early morning, misty conditions may occur in certain areas of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western, and Northwestern provinces, along with the Anuradhapura, Galle, Matara, Monaragala, Mannar, and Vavuniya districts. The public is advised to take necessary precautions to reduce the risk of damage from strong winds and lightning that may occur during the thundershowers.
