Coastal line train delays expected today and tomorrow – Railway Dept

Sri Lanka Railways has informed the public that trains on the Coastal Line, running between Colombo Fort and Wellawatte stations, could be delayed by around 15 minutes today (31) and tomorrow (01). This is due to important maintenance work needed to improve the signaling system. The goal of this upgrade is to allow for more frequent train services on both tracks. Sri Lanka Railways apologizes for any trouble this may cause to passengers and asks for understanding during this time.
