Two Indian Coast Guard ships arrives in Colombo for official visit
Two ships from the Indian Coast Guard, named ICGS Varaha and ICGS Atulya, arrived at Colombo Harbour today for an official visit. The Sri Lankan Navy greeted them with traditional naval customs. The ICGS Varaha is a 96.2-meter Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) led by Commandant Ashvini Kumar. The ICGS Atulya, a 50-meter Fast Patrol Vessel, is commanded by Commandant Anit Kumar Mishra. While in Sri Lanka, these ships will engage in joint exercises with the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, allowing for improved professional collaboration between the two coast guards.
