Schools in Central Province closed tomorrow and Monday

All schools in the Central Province will be closed on Friday, December 19, and Monday due to severe weather conditions, according to the Chief Secretary of the Central Province. The Meteorology Department predicts rain at times in the Eastern, Uva, and Central provinces, as well as in the Polonnaruwa and Hambantota districts, with some areas possibly receiving heavy rainfall exceeding 75 mm. Additionally, strong winds reaching up to 40 kmph may occur at times over the Eastern slopes of the central hills, and in the Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces, as well as Trincomalee, Hambantota, and Monaragala districts.
